Little can make a busy, smart person feel as dumb as trying to navigate through Medicare plans. Sharon is the perfect advisor. Before even discussing Medicare plans Sharon asked me about my lifestyle and my risk levels and then she narrowed everything down to a few concise recommendations. She called when she said she would, she followed up when she said she would. No question was too stupid. she went over and above what I expected. Very knowledgeable, very professional. This year when I had to make a change to my drug plan, she was there for me again. I would highly recommend Sharon.

I wanted to share my story of working with Sharon Sax because as I look back of the last six months of a very troubling time I know that I would not, and could not, have made it without Sharon. A few years ago Sharon came to my place of business as the AFLAC representative. I thought it would be a good idea to purchase an AFLAC hospital policy. She spent time and without any sales pressure described how adding a Cancer policy would be smart. I agreed and purchased each policy for myself and my husband. Little did I know that a few years later in April of 2020, right in the beginning of COVID, would my husband end up in a hospital and be diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and unrelated beginning stage of pancreatic cancer. He was transferred to a large research Cancer Center and for the next months spent 8 weeks in a hospital, a week in Rehab and is still undergoing a variety of chemos and getting ready to receive radiation. Sharon was there for me through it all and continues to be today. She not only took over submitting my claims (probably nearing 100 by today) but offering me continued support and a shoulder to lean on when I needed it. She was remarkable and it is all genuine. She is not the salesperson who sells you something and walks away. She stands by your side, especially when you really need it. Yes, AFLAC has provided us the financial security to meet huge co-pays and provide some services that were not covered by our insurance. That is important but her friendship and support has been amazing and so needed at this very difficult time.

Marcie Carlson helped our family deal with the torturous experience of applying for Medicaid when my husband was dying of dementia. She worked with us for about one year. Her assistance was invaluable. I am not sure we would have been able to complete the process without her. My daughters and I are normally intelligent people, but the application process we experienced was unnecessarily complex and fraught with errors and oversights.Marcie was able to point us in the right direction at every step of the way. Marcie was invaluable to me as I navigated eldercare decisions for both my mother and my father-in-law.  At the time, I was working full time, caring for my father in-law and trying to understand the myriad of issues associated with caring for an aging parent, including assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, insurance, Medicaid eligibility, hospice and palliative care and a host of other issues.  Needless to say, it was overwhelming.  Marcie was a tremendous resource and full of knowledge and information on what to do, who to contact and how to make informed decisions based on each of my family member’s unique needs and circumstances. Sharon Sax is one of the most honest, sincere, trustworthy, and helpful insurance agents I have ever met. When Sharon was in the process of starting her AFLAC business many years ago, I was simply trying to be a good friend by purchasing a cancer policy to help get her started in this new endeavor. We started the paperwork for a February 2017 effective date. I had recently relocated to NC so Sharon confirmed that she could write the policy for me when I was visiting the CT/NY/NJ area. However, there were roadblocks once the application was submitted. For almost 6 months, Sharon was relentless in her pursuit of getting the policy issued, given the fact that she had detailed documentation of all communication confirming that she could write the policy for me. During the appeal process, I was incidentally diagnosed with fallopian tube cancer during a prophylactic hysterectomy. Sharon continued her appeal, escalating the information to the district, regional and corporate levels. After a lengthy investigation of the documentation, phone calls on record and medical records and notes from my doctors, the policy was ultimately issued (written by an agent in North Carolina) and Aflac reimbursed me over $21,000 for my claim submissions. I am forever grateful to Aflac for the financial benefit the policy provided, and to Sharon for her diligence in upholding her word and her representation of the Aflac brand. Sharon genuinely cares about her clients and truly wants what is best for them and their loved ones which is why she goes above and beyond for her policyholders. She does not just write policies for the sake of the sale; she is always available to her clients for questions, advice and she even goes so far as to submit claims on their behalf. Sharon is the model of a benefits advisor you can trust due to the ultimate honesty and accountability she takes in both herself and the companies she represents.
